Police are investigating an attempted break-in that occurred at around 3:30 a.m. on Sunday, Feb. 10 in Durham outside a local home, where a man in a hooded sweatshirt was caught attempting to get into the locked vehicle.
Police said that some suspects look for cars that are unlocked and easy to access, meaning there are no smashed windows, no forced entry and no noise. Officials said that other suspects - not unlike the one int he video - look for cars that are either unlocked or have valuables in plain sight. They’ll risk making noise and smashing a window if valuables are in plain sight and easy to access.
Anyone with information regarding the attempted break-in from the weekend has been asked to contact Connecticut State Police Troop F by calling (860) 399-2100.
